‘Seas of the Moon Too’ Event – Exhibition and Installation – 2022

BRIEF

To assist with the visual coordination and overview of a multi faceted exhibition located at the historic Soulton Hall in Shropshire (elements comprised of paintings, video projections, interior and exterior installations, a pop up café and dining space)

ACTION TAKEN

Consulted with the Artist and assisted in the set up regarding the positioning and subsequent visual impact of the various artworks and installations over a wide ranging space for both interior and exterior areas.

Isolde Nicholson Hairdressing – Hair Salon – 2021

BRIEF

Create a salon conducive to an enjoyable and relaxing experience with suitable décor and styling, whilst paying attention to the ergonomics of the space.

ACTION TAKEN

After an initial moodboard and visualisation I zone the salon into its relevant functions (waiting, washing, and cutting/styling), styling of the chosen décor, provided storage solutions, and used product presentation for the hair product range on sale.

RESULTS

IKEA India PVT  – New build Ikea Nagasandra, Bangalore, India – 2022

BRIEF

To Implement the retail design of various departments for a new Ikea Store in India.

ACTION TAKEN

Delivered daily solutions to issues during the implementation phase of the Kitchen dept concerning carpentry and fittings redesigns, and product range availability challenges.

Worked in various product departments training new shop designer employees.

RESULTS

IKEA Austria – New city centre store, Ikea Westbahnhoff, Austria – 2020

BRIEF

Express the store message of sustainability to the ground floor “Green Area”, whilst respecting Austrian fire regulations vis a vis the area around the escalator (use of non flammable materials)

ACTION TAKEN

Design for 2 metal structures to give the idea of 2 “Green houses “, in order to house bestselling house plants on the ground floor, in the vicinity of the 6 floor escalator.

RESULTS

Customers perceive greater value of the sustainable product range in the store. Sales square metres have been increased whilst respecting Austrian fire regulations.

Private client – Dining Room Redesign – 2022

BRIEF

To design a dedicated dining room area and feel in an open plan living/dining room.

ACTION TAKEN

Moodboard and 2D visualisation of the Zoned dining area with the clients favourite colour, coordinated with her 1960’s and mid century furniture and decorations, as well as suggested product list for future pieces.

RESULTS

“I wanted my dining area to feel separate from my living area which are both in the same big room, but had no idea how to go about this. Jbdesign found a colour placement solution that I love and gave me styling suggestions.
